Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» University Monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias
Dear Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Community,
We are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias as it moves through the Gulf with an expected landfall forecast east of Louisiana, somewhere between Biloxi, Mississippi, and Pensacola, Florida, between late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
All university campuses remain open. Normal operations are continuing as scheduled. University officials are assessing conditions with our weather partners and communicating with local, state and federal partners to evaluate any potential impact on our campuses and community.
While we do not anticipate any adjustments to the university schedule at this time, we ask everyone to continue their personal preparedness steps. University community members should monitor official weather forecasts and be prepared to adjust plans if conditions change. Off-campus residents, faculty and staff should ensure they have non-perishable food, bottled water, batteries and flashlights in case of a power outage. We encourage everyone to avoid flooded roadways, use caution when traveling and prioritize personal safety. For more information on storm preparations, please visit .
The university will evaluate conditions throughout the day and provide additional updates later today. Information regarding university operations and emergency notifications will also be posted at tulane.edu/emergency.
Please continue checking your email for updates, and tune into any of the New Orleans news stations for the latest forecasts: , , and .
Stay safe,
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Office of Emergency Preparedness & Response
