Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» University Continuing to Monitor Hurricane Isaias

Office of Emergency Preparedness & Response <emergencyprep@tulane.edu>

Dear Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Community,

We are continuing to monitor Hurricane Isaias and remain in close contact with local, state and federal emergency management partners.

The storm's forecast track remains unchanged from this morning. Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall east of Louisiana between late Friday night and early Saturday morning, with the most significant impacts expected well east of the New Orleans area, about 100 to 200 miles away.

At this time, all Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campuses will remain open and university operations will continue as normal on Friday.

The forecast for the New Orleans area continues to call for periods of rain and gusty winds beginning Friday afternoon and continuing into early Saturday. Current projections indicate rainfall totals should remain modest, though localized street flooding may be possible during heavier downpours. Please use caution when traveling and continue monitoring local weather forecasts, as conditions can change.

Outdoor events scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday should continue to follow guidance from event organizers, as some activities may be moved or rescheduled depending on weather conditions.

For storm preparedness information, please visit . The university will continue to monitor Hurricane Isaias and will provide the next email update tomorrow. The latest university emergency information will be posted at tulane.edu/emergency.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Stay safe,

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Office of Emergency Preparedness & Response
